PHE faculty and staff nominated fellow coyotes for Teacher and Staff Member of the Year. After a run-off vote, the winners were announced in a schoolwide assembly. Family members were there to surprise and celebrate with the winners.
Rebecca Barnes, a 5th grade ELA teacher, was selected as the PHE Teacher of the Year.
What others have said about Mrs. Barnes:
Mrs. Barnes represents PHE so well. She’s the teacher who’s always smiling, always laughing, and always finding ways to bring joy to others. She’s compassionate, amazing, spectacular, and truly embodies what it means to be a Coyote. Many of us have said, “I wish I could’ve been in her class as a kid.” And that sentiment says it all. She inspires not only her students but also each of us as educators to bring our best every single day.
Mrs. Stacey Hudson, school secretary, was selected as the PHE Staff Member of the Year.
What others have said about Mrs. Hudson:
Her compassion is genuine, her patience unmatched, and her dedication unwavering. She embodies everything our PACK stands for; performing at her personal best, acting responsibly, caring for others, and showing kindness in all she does. She’s amazing. Caring. Determined. Inspiring. Devoted. Diligent. Poplar Hill would not be the thriving, organized, and joyful place it is today without her.
Thank you to both of these incredible educators for inspiring us to meet our vision. #EveryStudent #EveryDay.
We want to say thank you to all our faculty and staff at PHE. We are blessed with wonderful people who work hard and support each other and our students. #StrongerTogether #FamilyForever
