Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Collins, and I’m proud to serve as the School Counselor for grades 1 through 3 at Poplar Hill Elementary School. It’s my joy and privilege to support our young learners as they grow socially, emotionally, and academically during these important early years.

This is my third year as a school counselor in Rutherford County, and I absolutely love what I do. I received my undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from The University of Tennessee at Martin, and later earned my master’s degree in School Counseling from UT Martin as well. Go Skyhawks!

In my role, I work closely with students, families, and teachers to help create a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive. Whether I’m leading classroom lessons, meeting with students individually, or supporting families, my goal is always to help our students build confidence, develop healthy relationships, and navigate challenges with care and resilience.

A little about me: I love camping, going to Disney World, and spending time with my husband, son, and our dogs. I bring that same joy and energy into my work every day, and I believe that learning should be fun, meaningful, and full of kindness.
