Welcome!
Hello Families – I'm Katelyn Hand, one of your School’s Instructional Coaches!
I’m thrilled to be serving as one of the Instructional Coaches at our school this year! With over a decade of experience as a classroom teacher, I now have the opportunity to support our amazing educators as they continue to grow and refine their practice.
My role is to work alongside teachers to strengthen instruction, support student learning, and ensure every child has access to the highest quality education. While I may not work directly with students every day, everything I do is centered around helping them succeed.
I’m excited to be part of your child’s learning journey and to help create a school environment where every day, every student thrives, achieves and grows!
If you have questions and need to contact Mrs. Hand, please email me at [email protected] or send me a message on ClassDojo.

About Me:
I graduated from MTSU in 2014 with my bachelors in Elementary Education K-6. I graduated with my masters degree in curriculum and instruction from WGU in 2018. I am currently working towards my Doctorate at MTSU that is focused on assessments, student learning and school improvement.
I began my teaching career in Washington State, teaching Kindergarten. We then missed home and moved back where I began teaching 2nd grade, then eventually 3rd grade and now an instructional coach.
My husband and I have been married since 2008 and we have 2 boys who also attend Rutherford County Schools.
