Ms. Alward's Music Class
Welcome to Music at Poplar Hill! I'm Ms. Alward and I'm excited to be teaching music to the wonderful students at PHE. Before joining PHE, I taught Pre-K music at a charter school in Atlanta and led music instruction for ESL students at a summer program in Kentucky. I’m passionate about helping young people discover their own voices and grow through music. I believe in creating a space where all students feel inspired, confident, and connected—and where they can develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
I'm originally from rural Kentucky and have a big love for animals and spending time with my family—including my sister, brother, and sister-in-law. I have taught color guard for years and love spending my afternoons and Saturdays with the Franklin High School Color Guard.
When I’m not teaching, I love reading, crafting, and baking. I’m really looking forward to making music and great memories with the students and families here at PHE!
