Enrollment and registration for the 2026–2027 school year are now underway!
Returning RCS families will receive an email today or tomorrow, July 22–23, with instructions for completing registration and verifying their student’s information. Emails are being sent gradually due to the large number of families, so please allow the entire day today and tomorrow before reporting that you have not received yours. Returning students must wait for this email before beginning registration.
New RCS families may begin enrolling now at www.rcschools.net/enroll.
Once you receive your registration email, the PHE office is happy to help! Call us at 615-848-6505.

Current PHE families will receive an email between July 22 and July 23 with instructions for creating a Synergy account and verifying their student’s information. New families may begin enrolling July 22 at rcschools.net/enroll.
Required Documents
All new and returning students must upload the following documents:
Birth certificate
Current immunization record
Two proofs of residency
There are no exceptions to these requirements this year. Completing the registration process and uploading all required documents before August 7 will help families avoid long lines and allow more time to meet their child’s teacher.
Families will not be permitted to visit classrooms on August 7 until all registration requirements have been completed.
Registration Assistance:
Our office is open from 8:00–11:00 a.m. this week and is happy to assist families with the registration process.
Spanish-speaking translators will be available on the following dates:
July 22: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
July 23: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
July 27: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
July 28: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

July 30: 8:00–10:00 a.m.

We are excited as we prepare for Year Two at PHE and welcome our new neighbors at Poplar Hill Middle School! With the middle school opening, some traffic adjustments will be necessary. We anticipate that the first two weeks may require a little extra patience, but we are confident that everything will quickly begin running smoothly.
To make arrival and dismissal as efficient as possible for both campuses, PHE will have a new traffic pattern this year. Please carefully review the attached maps and become familiar with the new flow.
The biggest change is that the entrance for morning car rider drop-off and afternoon car rider pickup will now be the second entrance to PHE from Baker Road.
Second entrance: Morning car riders, afternoon car riders, and special education transportation pickup and drop-off
First entrance: Buses, PreK transportation, and afternoon green car riders
Afternoon green car riders: All PreK and kindergarten students, along with their siblings, are considered green car riders and will use the first entrance from Baker Road.
Kindergarten assistance: We will continue offering drop-off at the main entrance from 7:15–7:30 a.m. for kindergarten students who need a little extra assistance. These families should also use the first entrance from Baker Road.
As a reminder:
Morning drop-off is from 6:45–7:29 a.m.
Afternoon pickup is from 2:30–2:45 p.m.
Vehicles may not begin lining up before 1:45 p.m. each day.
During the first two weeks of school, staff members will be positioned throughout the campus to provide directions and help with any confusion. Our families did an outstanding job with arrival and dismissal last year, and I am confident we will become even more efficient this year!
We are also excited that vehicles will have the option to exit onto Blackman Road this year. This should help reduce congestion at the three-way intersection.
PHE has an amazing community, and I know our families will make these adjustments with patience and care while watching for middle school traffic and students who are walking. We are excited to partner with PHMS to create an incredible campus for our PreK–8th-grade students and families!
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly!

Rutherford County Schools is streamlining communication across the district, and the MyRCS App will become the primary platform for school and district communication.
Beginning this school year, ClassDojo will no longer be utilized by Rutherford County Schools. To ensure you continue receiving important updates, we encourage all Poplar Hill Elementary families to download the MyRCS App and select Poplar Hill Elementary as your school.
Through the app, families will be able to access:
• School and district news
• Calendars and upcoming events
• Newsletters and important documents
• Forms and resources
• School and classroom updates
The app also includes Rooms, a feature that allows families to communicate directly with teachers and staff, receive classroom updates, and stay connected throughout the school year.

One thing we want every family to know is that communication is key to success. We firmly believe that most concerns, questions, and misunderstandings can be solved or resolved by simply reaching out and having a conversation. That is exactly what we are here for.
We are committed to maintaining an open door, being accessible, and partnering with you every step of the way. Whether you have a question, a concern, or simply want to celebrate a success, we encourage you to connect with us.
