Ms. Phillips recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Elementary Education (K–5). She also had the incredible opportunity to live in Ireland for two months and complete part of her student teaching in Kenmare, Ireland.

This will be her first year teaching, and we are excited for her to begin her journey in Kindergarten at PHE.

Ms. Phillips loves reading, traveling, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, staying active, and caring for her three cats and dog.

We are excited to have her join the Coyote family!

School is Out!

As we close the doors on our inaugural year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our students, families, staff, and community for making this year so special.

Together, we opened a brand-new school, built meaningful relationships, created traditions that will last for years to come, and laid the foundation for something truly amazing. From our first day as Coyotes to the countless memories made throughout the year, every success has been possible because of the partnership and support of our incredible community.

We are so proud of what we accomplished together and even more excited about what lies ahead in Year Two. The future is bright at Poplar Hill Elementary!

For now, we encourage everyone to enjoy a well-deserved summer break. Spend time with family, make memories, rest, recharge, and refresh. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back soon, ready to continue growing, achieving, and thriving together.

The 2026 RCS Summer Meal program starts June 2 and any child under 18 can participate. Breakfast and lunch will be available June 2-July 24 with curbside and dine-in options available. For ages 18 and up, breakfast is $2.50 and lunch is $4.25 (exact change only).
